Mudpuppy - I agree with speegee - shoulda bought the two non running 900T's tho I'm sure that opportunity prbbly still exists.
I bought an 87 900S "turbo" w/160k on ebay recently ($400) - at least the hood said turbo - but no APC on the dash, no intercooler.... no turbo :( I checked the vin and indeed no turbo ....... so caveat emptor on that one... however, there's no rust anywhere on this vehicle and besides replacing the key tumbler and the starter, some new tires, and the headliner - it's practicaly new.
When I picked the car up the previous owner included a set of military license plates which he said had belonged to the original owner... so I did some research and discovered that these plates were issued to American personnel in Germany so maybe the car had been brought back to the States by its first owner...? I wasn't positive, but yesterday when I was trying to get the headliner out of the rear hatch I discovered the dealer stickers from Germany so it does appear this car was brought over by its first owner...... just a bit of historical interest, and a testament to the afinity people have for these cars...
So I'm trying to get the headliner out the back - any suggestions? I don't want to break it but it doesn't seem like it wants to come out
Thanks
Christian
