Check the lock to lock # of turns each way as Jim suggests.
If the wheel is an eighth of a turn off or more, I would use the tierod method recommended by Jim. There are two risks, which exist right now even without moving the wheel: 1) the steering will turn wheels too much one way an stress the suspension at full lock 2) the air bag clock spring will not be centered and you could break the wiring at full lock in the short direction. in addition to requiring a new clock spring, this will set off the SRS light and require a trip to the dealer or a good shop to turn off.
If there is the same # from centered to each side, I think you can safely move the wheel to center, since the wheel is only cocked slightly.
Keep ignition off or disconnect battery negative cable and remove air bag. Just unscrew the two #30 torx screws on the back of the wheel and lift off, unplug, and set aside the airbag. Then loosen, but don't fully remove the 22mm nut holding the wheel and pull the wheel(nut stays on so wheel doesn't hit your face when popping it off). Recenter wheel on splines and reassemble.
