I just got a sweat 89 SPG that is MINT! Besides the dog hair and the usual C900 issues (dash and headliner), this car is amazing. The "use unleaded gasoline only" sticker is still on, near the cap; the cigarett lighter is virgin; tool kit is 100% and still has the tire bag; spare does not appear that it was ever removed; even have the pen that came with the owners pouch (to include the 1989 serivce locations, etc...); OEM radio, et al... orginal paint is sweat... only one minor ding on the whole car (easy pull or push) and the bumpers have no obvious crunches!!

My dilema- keep spec, or "improve." I'm inclined to improve- better audio, performance, looks, etc... The original spec hunt is just plain harder... finding the correct mats, parts, etc...

I'm in no rush, but before I send it off for some "routine" fixing, I need a plan. I want to economize some labor (i.e. needs shocks- so I figured I would do BJs, rack, + while it's apart)- I have the will and $, but no time to do it myself.

As always- TIA,

Steve
'94 900 CE, 146K
'89 900 SPG, 125K (as best I can figure from a car fax report- the od. is stopped)

PS- if you are jealous I found this car, I've been looking for over 10 years! Keep up the search- it will happen; I'm convinced there are other SPGs sitting in dry gargages across FL, TX, AZ etc..
