the accumulator before it looses all abilities to keep pressure up in the brake system.
If you do a search you will find plenty of information about it.
It's about $400.00 to replace and not that difficult. Care has to be taken though so that you don't get sprayed by brake fluid when removing the old one.
It is also no guarantees that it's nothing else wrong with the ABS system.
A bad accumulator puts a lot of extra stress onto the hydraulic pump and can make it go bad.
You won't know the full status of the pump until a new accumulator is fitted.
