Okay, I know, I know, I should have never gone to the quick change place. But I was in a hurry and had to get to the airport. Here's the problem. After getting my oil changed at a quick lube place, I checked my oil about a week/600 miles later to discover that it had been overfilled by about 3/4 of a quart. It might have even been a full quart at the time of fill up because I have a slight engine leak. So basically, what damage might this have caused, if any? Is one quart really enough to do anything to the engine? Everything seems fine and I did not notice any problems, but I'm still worried.
As a side note, when I discoved that the engine oil was overfilled I immediately thought, "oh crap, they drained the trans oil and refilled the already filled engine." Luckily, they did not drain the trans oil but just managed to put too much oil in the engine. So I was at least happy to discover that I would not have a toasted transmission.
Thanks everyone!
