A VTM or FET analog voltmeter that won't load weak O2 sensor output is OK.
Radio Shack sold a FET meter years ago made by Micronta.
Also plans for building one using a JFET input dual op-amp IC are in ARRL Handbook, which is available in most libraries.
You want to be able to see where 0.5 V is on scale, since that's where O2 sensor is designed to operate.
Older Bosch AMM (ending in -005), allows adjustment for even swings around 0.5 V using the screw which may still have anti-tamper cap installed.
When doing this, you peel back rubber cover on green wire on O2 sensor connector to make measurements while still connected to female spade lug going to engine computer.
