Its getting more and more constant. It comes from the pass. side front wheel, and it sounds like an old rusty bed, it kind of creaks(thats the best i can do while keeping it clean). At first it would only occur on bumps or when the car bounced up and down during travel. While working on it this weekend, I noticed it also occurs when I turned the wheel as the car was on jack stands?!?! Well, after visual inspection months ago, i decided it could be the bushings in the upper A-arm support. Changed those, and it fixed another griding/clunking problem, but not my squeaky problem. So then I did the shocks, brand new Koni's all around, The car rides incredible now - but still squeaks. After playing with it and holding various parts as I lift and lower the axle on a jack, it seems like it make be the bushing surrounding the spring seat bolt. Does this sound right? Ive tried to take it off before but couldnt get the spring compressed with the tool I had.
Anyone have any other ideas? Im stubborn and refuse to forfeit my car to a mechanic just yet.
