Well I've bought myself another SAAB! and of course I'm happy, and this weekend I plan to start working on her. In the past I have owned only pre '85 SAABS (2 Turbos, 1 spg) so I have done a lot of work on these cars. But I have a few questions regarding repairs on my "new" car:

I will be replacing the rotors/pads:Are there any special tools required to recess the pistons? I know they are different than the 85's where the pistons have two circular notches and you could recess them with the special tool.

I have borrowed and impact driver for the two phillips screws that hold the rotor.. IS there anything else that I should have ready? are the calipers held on with torx bolts?

Also I have a slight Idle problem: Once she gets warm she idles upto 1600 and then will drop to about 1300, only to rise again. I replaced the AIC, and got no improvement. My next guess was going to be the AMM. Is this cleanable? or should I get a new one? Is there a way to test it? and could there be anything else wrong?

Thanks in advance for everyone's help, I still can't get over how great SAABNET is!
