Following up on a post from last week. I'm now flooded in near Biblical proportions.
THis all occurred last thu/fri, jsut getting around to posting today.
>as for the leak, if you have a hatchback, the water can be coming in from the rubber seal around a quarter window in back & then moves up to front foot area
We had about two inches+ of rain yesterday, and I spent about two hours driving through it.
Previously, my carpets were only wet, to the point of being able to squeegee out some water.
Yesterday, I bailed out about 4 inches of standing water from the left rear seat floor (behind the driver). I bailed it 4 times, easily removing an inch of water each time. The water collected in the rear, and the driver's floor only got standing water when the car was left parked so that gravity helped it flow that way.
After the the previous night's rain, I had about a half-inch of water on the rear floor in the morning.
Since the build-up of water was so rapid while driving, I'm assuming that the water is being forced under pressure through some gap or crack/crevice somewhere by air pressure. There is no obvious wind noise or water gurgling sound evident.
I couldnt' see any obvious evidence (water rivulets or streaks/stains).
Where could the water be coming from in such quantity/speed?
I think it COULD be coming from the front driver's side, and gravity is causing it to end up on teh drvier's rear side floor.
Oh, there is NO water on the passenger side, front or rear.
BTW, the weather person just said that we got 6+ inches of water in the last 24 hours. Made for some fun driving :-(.
