way and tuck it in under the two clips holding it in place (one inside and one outside the firewall). The inside clip is the worst.
And I must also warn you that it might not take care of the bouncy speedo needle.
I have seen a couple of cases where it is the speedometer itself. It have some kind of damper device inside that should handle vibrations.
One one car the needle started to fluctuate when pointing straight up (about 45-55mph), it turned out to be the speedometer and when needle got to close to the speaker magnet, the magnet made the needle jumpy.
When test driving without the speaker, the speedometer was stable.
