Well folks, after 225000 miles I blew the trans on my 84 900 Turbo. Estimate for replacing along with new clutch is approx 2500.00. My nose is open since I just put about 2000.00 in last 4 months. All new brakes , calipers and everything. New shocks, new exhaust, new battery, new tires and new windscreen. My question is what else would I be smart to do since the engine will be out. I already have a new radiator and hoses ready to put back in along with gaskets for pan etc.I plan on replacing valve cover and distributer gaskets since they are leaking small amount of oil. Ac does not work. Probably compressor. I could live without it but since engine out maybe would be feasable to do it also. . Car has never been in accident, has original walnut paint and other than some rust is in good shape. I will have rust spots fixed and new paint. Only other thing is new headliner. Thank you for any input.
