An interesting failure Posted by Saana88 [Email] (#207) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Saana88) on Fri, 16 Apr 2004 20:00:58 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
My accelerator pedal just plain fell off. The pedal itself is no longer attached to the pedal lever, which is still attached to the cable, which is still attached to the throttle valve.
Fresh off the floormat are one accelerator pedal and what looks like half a rivet which was originally holding it on. Now come on! I don't use the thing that much! I get 32 miles per gallon!
No more chuckles, but is there a right and wrong way to reattach the thing, or just have at it with some long narrow bolts that fit and threadlock?
For now, I'll be driving with an accelerator lever instead of a pedal.
