Last night on my way home my left front lower shock mount came out of the bushing. There was a distinct rattle over bumps on that side. The nut and washer that hold the shock to the bushing had come off, allowing the shock to then come off and hang there. I was able to fairly easily get the shock mount back on the bushing, and drove the next morning to Charles River Saab, certain they would have the parts I needed. They had the nut, but not the washer. At Herb Chambers Saab they did not have the washer either. I finally got a washer from the electricians at the construction site and wouldn't you know the nut did not fit! Previous owner had put on a poly bushing (red in color) and apparently the bolt is larger. Back to my local indy, RPM on Commonwealth, to get them to find a nut to put on this thing - they don't have one but will order an assortment. So tomorrow morning I will take it in again. What a PITA! Surely one of you would have handled this better than I have!
