As far as oil making it's way into the clutch - that would have to be one big leak to do so. For one thing, there's the flywheel seperating the clutch from the engine. Also, if there is a leak along that front plate, any oil would seep down, then be blown back with the wind. One thing you might want to try before pulling the engine and redoing the tranny gasket is to re-tighten all the nuts and bolts between the engine and tranny, as well as the primary gear front plate and pg casing. I've discovered that with time, some of those bolts loosen a bit. It's pretty obvious when you put an 18" beaker bar to them and give them a turn. The snug ones won't move without much effort while the loose ones will spin a good 1/4 turn with little effort. Yes, it will be difficult to reach some on the exhaust manifold side, but with a combination of a box wrench and a socket with flex extension, you'll be able to reach them all. Also, unless that whole bottom end is cleaned up for a proper visual inspection, you won't know exactly where the leak is coming from. Perhaps it's not the main gasket in question. That gasket, btw, is a fairly rigid strip of metal, not any sort of paper or rubber prone to decay. You may discover it's just one bolt or nut missing or loose from the primary gear housing. An easy fix. It could also be coming from the oil filter housing or the oil cooler hoses. How about the turbo oil return line where it connects with the turbo unit? That's a common leak point.
