turbocity in california has the full range of turbo parts form rebuilds to rebuilt center cartidges, to complete rebuilt turbos.
Many have successfully rebuilt turbos with the kit. Balancing problems can be avoided by following the instructions. The cartridge makes it even easier. Then, the only hard part is getting the obstructed nut off when you take apart the turbo housing. Box end won't fit and most open end wrenches will spread and round the nut. A Snap-On 13mm flank wrench magically loosens the nut without rounding. Big $$$ for this wrench.
However, once you get the turbo apart, there is a good chance that the housing has cracked enough to interfere with the impeller blades. Then you get to send back the kit or the cartidge and buy a whole rebuilt turbo.
