I live in the Los Angeles area. Out in the country, but not far from the jungle. I have a question for you: You mentioned "we may be" doing a 16V with CIS transplant. Who is "we"? And if you're putting a 16V into a 8V chassis, why not go all the way with the LH fuel system and wiring? For me it was a matter of not having the time to switch over completely to LH, replace the wiring harness, upgrade the ECU... I read the Sweeny article about the 16V/CIS modification and it sounded simple to me, requiring much less time than the full monty transplant. I also like the idea that it works perfectly, and I'm probably the only SAAB owner in LA county with this engine/fuel system configuration.
New pics are going to be added soon to my picture folder detailing the aux air valve placement. Once the second 16V transplant was in place and running, I just wanted to get it back on the road and return the rental car which had been killing me. So instead of connecting the aux air valve to anything, I just attached the hoses and let it lay against the intake manifold. Now it's bolted in place where the 16V fuel pressure regulator normally is, with longer hoses added.
