Different shocks used in different models?

Reason I ask is because the right (passenger) side of the car is lower than the other side, front and back. It appears the car was in an accident that involved the right side, and had been repaired. I don't know what they used, but the shocks are Boge blue with red stripe.
I measured the height in different places, comparing the values to the left side, and the right side is definitely lower by 3/4" in front and in rear. It is quite noticeable. I also tend to bottom-out often on that side moreso than the other side.
I'm about to do some suspension work (replacing worn-out bushings and usual front-end components), and am wondering what to do about this "listing" issue. Could the body shop had used shocks that allow the car to sit lower than stock for a '93 Turbo convert? I can't imagine the shocks on only one side of the car are shot. The passenger seat does not give any indication that "extra weight" had been carried often in the car that might have resulted in premature failure of both right-side shocks.
Any ideas are appreciated.
