First, to get that nastly little bolt of...
The plastic cover that the steering shaft goest through in the pass compartment. Remove it. You can see that bugger now. You don't have to remove the vent system.
BEFORE you remove that bolt.
Turn the wheel all the way to the left - so the rack is shortest on the drivers side and long on the pass side.
You need the car WAY WAY up there. I must of had 2 feet of clearance when I did it last month.
Remove all the lines then the pinch bolt finially the two that hold the rack to the body.
Move the rack as far to the pass side as possible.
You have to rotate the rack - I think you rotate it forward (same way the wheels turn going forward).
The short side should drop down, under the engine and everything, then you pull it out the drivers side.
When you put the new on in, have it fully extended to the drivers side.
It's easier if you don't have a swaybar, but it can be done w/ the bar as well. You should have two people, because the rack will get tied up on everything and it gets heavy when it's fighting with you.
