I have an 85 900S 8v, non-turbo. It's been runing fine, but kinda slow as the se usually are :) Yesterday, I went on a road trip, and I stopped after about 2 hours. When I started it, it fired right up, but after about 3-5 seconds the idle dropped way down, and sounded like it was only running on 1 or 2 cylinders. Then it stalled. When I restarted, again it fired up after a little cranking, but the same symptoms. I used the accelerator to keep the idle up to about 1200 rpm, and after a minute or so, it idled fine on it's own, and continues to run great until it's shut off for about 30-40 minutes or so. This has happened EVERY time I've started it since yesterday morning. Also this has happened if the engine is warm or cold. As far as weather is concerned, it has been unusually hot here for the past 4-5 days, in the low 90's and high humidity. If this had happened on any of the other hot days, I'd say a mild case of vaporlock, but it just started doing it. I've changed nothing, and I'd run for several days on the gas in the tank, so even that isn't new. I've also looked around for anything out of place under the hood, but nothing is apparent. Any ideas anyone???
