Tight front motor mount works wonders...

I had my tranny converted to manual 9 months ago, and never got really convinced that it was such an awesome improvement.
I found the grab point of the clutch a little hard to find, and you had to be careful not to let go too fast, otherwise it would sort of buck. Not really bad, just a little too picky to me. Also the stick was moving around a bit.
But this afternoon, while screwing around under the hood, I figured why not wedge a small piece of wood between the top of the front motor mount and its bracket, just to hold it down tight, to see what it feels like...
Well, the difference is AMAZING ! The whole shifting process is so much more precise and tight. The stick is rock solid, and the car feels like a Formula 1 (just not quite the acceleration...).
So go ahead you all, just try to tell me I'm gonna bust something...
You won't discourage me. I'm in love all over again with my car !
