On the '88 and later 5 1/2" X 15" wheels used on 900s, the offset is 40mm, whereas on the 6" X 15" wheels used on 9000s, the offset is 33mm, even though the wheels look identical to a casual glance. Such a difference in offset on opposite sides of the front end can lead to pulling to one side and torque steer biased to one side or the other, even though the wheel alignment might be perfect in other respects. Now I'm not acquainted with the offsets of the earlier bolt circle type wheels, but it's worth checking that aspect of what you've got. I know from my daughter's experience when a body shop replaced one of the 5 1/2" ET40mm rims on her '90 900S with a 6" ET33mm rim without knowing the difference (after a minor fender bender), there were also tire-rubbing-fender problems with the 33mm offset rim on the left rear of the car (205/60 tires).
