I've got an odd one here......
I changed the oil on my '90TC on Saturday and when I do that, I typically remove the plastic air intake duct so I can get easy access to the oil filter. I happened to check the air filter this time and I removed the flexible rubber duct leading into the air filter canister and also the top of the canister. I also unplugged the wiring leading to the air mass meter. Once I was done, I reassembled the canister, wiring, and duct-work and everything appeared to be fine on Monday, however, I did notice that if I accelerated quickly, there would be a brief lag - not turbo lag mind you, but, a "general" lag.
When I used the car on Tuesday, I stalled upon starting 5 times, plus, the RPMs were fluctuating between 1300 and less than 500. Once I go it going, the "Check Engine" light stayed on for a couple of minutes and later went off, so, it seemed fine. On a return trip, heavy rain started and I got off an expressway and once I stopped at a light, it stalled. Started up, but, I would have to feather the accelerator to keep it honest. Now, I can't trust it and I'm wondering, what could I have done when I removed all of the air intake equipment? I always remove the duct, but, I has been awhile since I removed the AMM, etc. , but, I've done that in the past. The AMM looked fine, however, I don't know if you can clean it. I just blew into it onced lightly, but, it has never looked dirty to me.
Does this sound like it could have contributed to the problem or is this totally unrelated and just fogging up the picture for me?
