Heater valve replacement

Well, looks like time for the infamous heater valve replacement. Mine is leaking pretty badly now.
Any input on preference of using the aftermarket vs. the Saab original? The car in question is a 1990 900 with about 245k miles on it...
The part cost is about $40 for the aftermarket and $110 for the Saab original...
Have they improved the design to cut out the leakage problems?
Thanks for any input on this.
