you probably have a big hose vacuum leak. check all the connections where like the intercooler pipes hook up to their hoses, etc. and where they hook into the turbo and also that one weird hose that goes 3 ways to the bypass valve and the turbo, etc... make sure it's not broken. i bought my spg from a dealer for $1300 because it had a problem similar to this. it seemed like it wanted to run ok but when you'd get to higher rpm's it would drop off and choke... then you would have to downshift to fourth on the freeway to keep it from bogging down. i bought it knowing i could figure out the problem real quick and brought it home and it took me about an hour to discover that the intercooler pipe was disconnected from it's hose and was just sitting there flush with it looking like it was plugged in correctly but in fact it wasn't. problem solved by one very happy spg owner.
