I don't think I have a screwdriver quite like that....I can get a Shorty however, as ETS suggested.
Purchased a Bosch VR, so hopefully it will stand & deliver. My friggin car choked & bucked 2 miles from home, so I had the joy of walking home in the rain, then drove my sons 89 Base Turbo back (dead pinion bearings) to the dead 90T; swapped the battery only to drive it back the 2 miles and have it die again in the driveway! So I have presumed the alternator is the culprit and the car ran to/from the house on the battery(s).
I shall plug in the new VR, fire that mother up, and hope it continues to run for more than 10 minutes. Suppose I can take some voltage readings at the battery to see if she is being charged or not. I have heard that the most common cause of death in these Bosch alts. is in fact the VR. I hope so, since I would hate like hell to have to remove it & swap in another! Such is the joy of C900 ownership!
