it just seems there's something holding it back when accelerating - we swapped out a non-functioning (diaphram shot) vacuum advance with a good one but apparently no big change in performance - which is kind of strange and leads me to believe there are bigger problems with this engine (ie valve job).
i also think new injectors, plugs, cap & rotor are in order for a good low-budget tune-up to cover those bases.
by the way how is your 16valve transplant running? it may still happen up here - i assume the 16V drive axles went along with the engine into your 8V car, right?
and do you have any close-up shots of the fuel rail modifications you did? i think you posted some pics but they were a little distant if i recall. pls email me if you prefer.
