my sons old 87T had corrupted/corroded wires, connections ,all over the place. I had to do some massive soldering to get bad sections cut out & butt spliced in with new ones.....so no electrical gremlin surprises me on this puppies.
OK, never owned a 900C, so no experience. But as others have posted, the main ECU has always been above the ductwork, directly below the glovebox on all 5 C900's I have & do own. I think forgetting this extra switch, there should be control functions when you enable the correct pins on the ECU. I would get a "fused jumper" (so you don't start a fire) and then try to enable the ECU inputs & see if the actuators all fire. I didn't know that you had all doors locking correctly until the system died, new info, which would indicate a central control problem.
Do you have a Bentley manual? It has decent wiring schematics for the C900, and you can probably find the conv. wiring schematic therein.
My advise on bad/intermittent/mystery wires....run new ones! Sometimes old wires are much more trouble prone & are best to just bypass. I completely rewired my 89Base with an 87 Turbo drivetrain & wiring harness (don't EVER do this), and you wouldn't believe all the little mystery connection points that SAAB builds in, most buried where you would can't find them....that is why I don't mind running some bypass wiring to abandon the bad sections.
Best bet - follow the Bentley wiring schematic & Townsend trouble shooting procedure to solve your problem.
