92 900s no start & Bentley troubleshooting procedure

Just put engine back in, everything worked fine before I statrted on this project. Engine sat outside for a couple of moths waiting for transmission.
Car gets fuel, detected by strong smell of gas and slight leak at fuel rail.
Bentley's EZK non-turbo trouble shoot guide in order
1. Check wires, rotor
2. Check knock sensor output signal at EZK ECU
3. Check for power to the EZK Unit
4.Check for power to amplifier
5.Check for power to coil
6. Check coil resistence
7.Check amplifier switching function
8. Check pulse signal from EZK to amplifier
9.Check hall sensor signal to EZK ECU
10. Check for voltage to the Hall sensor

All I could chec k was coil voltage & resistence. Sice this was proper can I ignore steps 1-4? In other words, if the coil has proper voltage, does that mean the first 4 tests are meaningless?
Now the real problem....Although Bentley tells me what pins to check on the EZK ECU for ALL the tests, I cannot find any numbers designated on the EZK unit itself. All I could do is guess at the pin numbers. Is there any way I could figure this out?
What might possibly go on the engine after sitting for a few months?
