Engine stars dies, starts dies.
Its getting fuel, I can smell it. Also fuel line was disconnected for 2 months, so obviously the fuel pump is getting gas to the engine. I don't hear so well, so I can't tell if the fuel pump is humming.
I started the tests in the Bentley. Firs step is check knock sensor. I connected the ac voltmeter and no voltage when tapping on the sensor. My voltmeter was set for 200 vac, the lowest setting. Is this test supposed to show voltage even with the ignition off? Bentley does not advise to turn ignition on.
Can the knock sensor cause the engine to start, then die? Same results without the knock sensor installed.
I'd hate to start replacing expensive ignition components without knowing for sure what the problem is.
