Gorilla glue is a polyurethane glue made for bonding two porous surfaces together. They need to be wetted first to activate the glue. The glue works by expanding to get into the pores of the materials being bonded and has the added benefit of being waterproof. It makes an incredibly strong bond. Generally you need to clamp the peices being bonded to keep them together and not be pushed apart by the expanding nature of the glue. It's used primarily for outdoor woodwork and stonework. THERE IS NO SOLVENT FOR POLYURETHANE GLUE. When it expands if it gets on something other than what you are bonding you will have to live with it--it won't come off (including your hands).
I've used polyurethane glues extensively on woodworking projects. The first ones I did I wore the glue on my hands for about two weeks. If you are going to use it, heed the warning of the previous post and glue a few other things with it until you are comfortable enough to do your top.
I plan to use automotive weatherstrip adhesive when I do my top later this Summer. It has all the benefits of the polyurethane glue (strong bond, waterproof) without the risks. You should be able to purchase it at any good auto parts store.
