dont do it. Posted by rob [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: Painting and Synthetic sheep skin roller ?????, PIetto, Tue, 13 Jul 2004 14:29:23 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I painted my own car, and while it was a good learning experience, it was expensive and came out looking crappy. And I did look into doing the sheepskin roller, but really its not going to look great. Eventually I sanded the car back down again and took it to Maaco. They did silly things like painted the doorhandles and other areas that should have been masked, but the paint looked very nice. The downside is that it was very hard to wash. I left the car sitting in a parking lot and some leaves fell on it, and rotted, and those marks are stained into the paint. Anyway, my advice is dont go through the difficulty of it cause anyway you paint it, its going to look awful the first time because youre new to it. That means resanding it down to the point where you can try again. Its a real pain in the ass......
