First check lug bolts and the large axle nut. If the axle nut is loose, you will have to replace the wheel bearing, since it will be destroyed if run with a loose axle nut. If the car has been driven for more than a few miles with a loose nut, you will likely have a bad hub shaft...replace with a good used one while wheel bearing is replaced. Wheel bearing replacement requires a hydraulic press and usually a standard hub puller tool to get the stuck bearing race off the hub shaft. If you don't have these tools, you can pull the entire front spindle and hub and take it to a local machine shop for bearing replacement. This will save a 1-2 hour labor charge.

If the the axle nut is tight, you might have a shot inner driver. Get under the car and check the drive axles for slop near the inner driver that sticks out of the transmission case. The passenger side is usually the bad one because the high exhasut heat cooks the poor OEM grease. A torn inner driver boot will also allow the grease to leak out and allow the tripod spider to pound on the surfaces of the driver and form cups. Not too hard to replace the inner driver. Search on inner driver for tons of info.
