Piece of cake. I have a 'Viper 1000ESP' in my '91. It was installed by the PO. It is fine, and there are others which work well, too. I think the CrimeGuard 328i si very siumilar and you can get these for about 100.00 from crutchfield. There are a number of them which would work. #1, you have to put a motor in the driver's door and wire it to the lock relay. I have done this by getting a lock motor from a wrecked car and wiring it in the door using the existing wires. There are 3 for the switch and only 2 for a motor. Just pick 2 and swap the 3 pin connector housing off the switch and put it on the motor and write down which colors you used. Put the motr in using the same screws and out the door back together. At the lock relay, either 1) cut the wires going to the connector and put the wires to the driver's door lock with the others going to the locks. or 2) make a set of 'Y' jumpers to connect the lock wires to the appropriate pins as well as jumping over the ground and power from the connector to the relay. I did #2. Now verify that the direction for teh driver's motor is correct. ALternately ground pins #1 and #2 to lock and unlock the doors and make sure that they are all in sync. Now you are ready to connect the alarm to the lock system. Make sure you select an alarm that can put out a momentary ground and wire it up to the lock relay. Follow the directons for the alarm. You may be able to put it under the rear seat and use some of the wiring that is actually there for the relay. There is an 8 or 10 pin plug back there which is for the alarm. The other wires (horn and hood pin) are wire ties up near the PS reservoir. Do not use the 'light flash' lead on the connector, though, unless you want it to flash everything and take about a 15A draw every time. Wire up a relay DPST and have it flash the turn signal lights. (or an SPST relay and a couple of diodes). I have an istallation manual for the dealer installed alarm system which may help a little bit with placement and hooking up teh hood pin and horn, but it should be pretty straightforward. If you want it, ask Scott to host it in teh FAQ and I'll send him the file.
