I used a fabric called microsuede. It's fabric that (surprise) looks like suede. I was able to find it at a local fabric store (JoAnnes' Fabrics, not sure if they are a chain). I bought tan and black and made myself two sets. You need to peel off the old stuff first as the foam padding underneath generally disintigrates. I used spun cotton padding. It has the same look but won't deteriorate from the sun. I mounted it on the panel with spray glue then I wrapped the panel with the fabric and stapled it from the back side. You can't use staples larger than 1/8" or they will come through the face. If you can't find them buy 1/4" and clip them shorter with some wire cutters. If you plan to do the speaker panels as well that's a whole other story-complicated. Here's a place you can buy it online: http://www.garysupholstery.com/suede.html

GGBailey is a subsidiary of the company that makes the actual Saab OEM mats. Unfortunately, because of restrictions, they couldn't use the saab logo. But the mats shape and driver's side foot pad look OEM. I will try to post a picture for you sometime. In the meantime you can go to http://www.ggbailey.com and design your own and see a picture of them. If I remember correctly they were "cream" color. You can ask them to send you color swatches for an exact match. Best to use '93 as your model year so you don't get NG mats.
