Transient Overheating Posted by Andy [Email] (#759) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Andy) on Wed, 11 Aug 2004 17:43:59 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
After going through a car wash, I got caught in traffic this weekend and my temp gauge indicated red. The temp had been fine while moving. When I pulled over, I noted that the radiator fan wasn't on. The antifreeze level was fine and the thermostat and relay switch were replaced last year. I removed the fuse and relay seperately to check and had no luck when I put them back. But oddly, when I removed and replaced both simultaneously, the fan came on and it has worked fine since (including in traffic). I thought it might have been the car wash but nothing seemed wet. Any ideas? I'm nervous it may happen again.
