apc adjustment-please advise Posted by saabster [Email] ![]() ![]() |
i opened up the apc box to find that if looking down on the top circuit board with the "f" and "p" facing me to read correctly, the "f" pot was set at about 5 o'clock and the "p" pot was set at about 3 o'clock and the factory glue was still in tact.where do i want to set it and with what method? instead of guessing abouts, maybes and all that, how many turns should i set either from all the way in or out?all help is appreciated.also i checked kevin's apc theory on dave's spg site but i found them to give no final setting.i did try their suggestions positioning "f" pot at about 9 o'clock and the "p" pot at about 6 o'clock.turbo seems to be spooling faster but max boost is about same if not a little less.proper ratios would help. also i am looking for nice power without sacrificing my trans.i do not have any vacuum leaks, all parts functioning with a base boost of 5.9 psi.plus whenever checking psi i noticed that i pull about 7 psi then it backs into 5.9 and levels off before dropping due to retardation.is this normal?thanx.
