You didn't mention what size tires you are using.
You can use spacers on front & back. When I went to Intrax/Koni on my '91 SPG I used home-made delrin spacers (half-inch thick IIRC, made from a cutting board). Without the spacers the car scraped too much on driveway entry/exit and on the road as well. Too low for me. That's with 205/60-15's. Don't forget to cut one setion off the front bump stops if you lower the car.

Supposedly the Koni's s/b installed as-delivered, then changed to firmer setting as the shocks wear. My conv. (stock springs) has a set on softest setting and the SPG has set one click firmer (w/ Intrax). Both feel fine, little difference noted in seat-of-the-pants (of course the conv. is a little heavier and has a little flex in the body compared to the coupe, and different tires).
A hot setup is Brad's adjustable spring setup. But it's expensive.
