Yo!

Uh, what exactly do you want to do here? If you just wanna stick a 16v engine in there you really don't need anything more than the engine and the stuff that's bolted to it. The 16v will run just fine on CIS components that are already in the car.

If you want to do the full LH conversion, you need the engine wiring harness and every component connected to it - the ECU, the injectors, the sensors, the AIC/AMM and don't forget the power distribution block (it makes life easier). LH 2.2 is 99.9% self contained - it doesn't need anything from the car *except* power and an ignition signal. LH 2.4 only needs a road-speed sensor in addition to the other stuff. You will also want to replace ALL of the fuel pump plumbing. That means both of the plastic fuel lines which run from the pump, into the filter, through the cabin, and into the engine bay. It's a PITA, but will dramatically simplify the fuel system for the car... If the donor car is a junker, in your possession, and stripped anyway it isn't so bad; it took me an hour to remove it from a junkyard car once I realized I should have pulled it from my donor in the first place. ;) Installation isn't bad at all... just be careful not to crimp/twist or otherwise damage the fuel lines. Grab the fuel filter bracket from under the donor car while you're at it, and move the filter.... Doing all this will allow you to eliminate the CIS fuel accumulator, which is a PITA to deal with and a potential stumbling block down the road when it fails and you don't know why the car won't start... :D

If you want to add in a Hall-Effect ignition conversion (recommended for a T to NA swap, IMHO), you need to add in the ignition control unit and, preferably, the wiring that runs out to the Hall-Effect sensor on the distributor intact, although this isn't strictly necessary. At the very least, you need the 7-pin ICU connector with enough of a pigtail to do some soldering/crimping. Actually, your '83 may be Hall-Effect (vs. magnetic inductive) - I don't recall offhand when the change went - it may have been '84.

If you want to add in the APC conversion, you need the APC box, the pressure transducer, the knock sensor, and the wiring harness with the knock sensor wiring out from the control unit to the sensor intact, and the rest of the wires with enough of a pigtail to do some soldering/crimping.

I keep promising to document this and just haven't had the time... sorry... :( It's only been, what, three years? ;)

As for the fuel pump, the CIS pump will run the engine, but I would definitely recommend swapping to the LH-style pump. The CIS pump is capable of more pressure but less volume, which will be critical to the turbo if you plan on anything but stock boost.

I'll try and dig up the draft of the conversion docs this afternoon.
