There are 2 ways, in addition to a block tester, to validate your results. The easiest but less definative way is to do a wet compression test on #1. Repeat the test on #1 to set an accurate baseline, then pour a few drops of oil into the #1 plug hole & repeat the test again. If the wet test is significantly higher than your baseline, then it's a bottom end problem. If not, then it's a top end problem. Regarless, the wet test will show higher than your baseline, especially with 246k on the clock. You're just looking to see if the difference is significant.
The other way would be to do a leakdown test. In this test, you run compressed air through a measuring gauge & into the spark plug hole. The gauge measure how much air is leaking out, & you can listen to figure out where it's leaking. In your case, I'd expect to hear coming through the coolant bottle.
