These 2.0 engines (and even my 2.1 LPT) are right next to bulletproof. 16v and 8v... The one "weak" link is a combo of two things...the trannys (which if treated right I think, are good for 200k) and the simple labor cost/material cost to rebuild a tranny...
I will put $ down that your engine outlives your tranny ;-)...
