WAIT A SEC!!!! what did i miss? Posted by Saabu [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: Cutting Clutch Slave Cylinder, Mike C, Thu, 2 Sep 2004 14:32:17 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
read your earlier posts and am wondering why you are going to cut the slave cyl at all?
the only time you'd do that is if you can't get any pressure in the clutch line to depress the pp fingers - if that is the case then you are on the right track and yes take the input shaft out before doing that!
cutting them is not a nice job unless you have a suitable power tool.
on the othe rhand if you can release the clutch with pedal pressure, order the clutch spacer tool (well worth it) and make your life easier now and for when you re-install the new components.
by the way to reinstall the pp you put it on the floor under a jacking point, put something of suitable diameter on the pp fingers, put a Saab car jack on top and essentially lift the car with the jack -this will push the fingers down so that you can get the spacer tool in.
pls advise where you are on things
