Brake Lights on 94 Comm. Don't Activate... WTF?!

I have a 1994 Commemorative Edition Convertible and my brake lights won't activate. All my bulbs work, hazards work, turn signals work, everything works except when I depress the brake pedel, my rear lights and spoiler light do not activate. The wierd thing is that every once in a while, they work again, but it's rare.
Sure not having brake lights activate is great when a cop pulls out behind you, but any other time I'm a danger to others.
I had them "fixed" at a non-Saab specialist and they mentioned a loose wire, but weeks later, it was back to sporadic workings. I have the red Bentley service manual but I can't find anything in there to help me with this situation. Anyone know how to fix this?
