PA emissions test -- questions Posted by devin [Email] ![]() ![]() |
Hi All,
I won the battle with the 02 sensor. Big old wrench in vise was all it took. Spliced it in, changed plugs, cap, rotor, and crankcase check valve. Will do fuel filter and change oil this week. Anything else I should worry about for emissions?
Does anyone know Pennsylvania specifically? My county in PA, Lancaster, (Yes, Amish) just added smog tests last year any I've never been through it before.
The car's a 92' Turbo with 130K on the clock. I changed all of the above stuff as a preventative measure because I live in DE for school and it's a PITA to take the car home to my dad's place for inspection only to be told that it doesn't pass.
My understanding is that you drop the car off at the mechanic and he checks it out when he feels like it and then calls you. So you can't warm it up until the Cat's super-hot etc.
thanks,
Devin
