How to change PCV? I'm new to mechanics

I notice an area that seems to be leaking a small amount of oil. I look at my engine diagram and found that it seems to be the PCV valve. I bought a new one on europarts.com along with the check valve and other parts around there. What is involve in swapping them out? I didn't just want to pull on it with out knowing for sure. Also, it appears to me that some of the oil over time (just bought the car) has leak from the PCV area into the area where the spark plugs are housed. I changed the plugs and the old ones were very dirty and had oil in the threads. I tried to clean it out as best as possible. Should I take it and have the spark plug areas (holes ?)cleaned profesionaly? Thanks!!!
