My friend 1995 Infiniti G20 (pretty soon he will a saaber like us)failed to start last week and I tried to help him jumpstart with portable battery.
When he turned on the ignition switch there was nothing, no light, nada..
So I hooked up jumpstarter and the alarm starting sounding. We tried to start and it started and I told him to drive the car aroung for half hour or so to get the battery recharge. So we thought the alarm went off that night and battery get discharged. By the way, the battery was a month old.
A week went by with no problem at all. But this morning he called me again
and same thing happened. He switched the ignition on and nothing happened.
No juice, no light nada not even a click. I helped him again (thanks for my jumpstarter battery I got from Sears)hooked the battery and a blazing sound of the alarm. We locked and unlocked the driver's side the alarm stopped. We jumpstarted and it started. I tooked the booster battery and
told him to turn the engine off and start it again. It started as if it was never discharged. We did this a couple of times and it started all the
time. Seems the battery fell asleep over night.
Fellowsaabers, give me some theory and direct me where to look. Is there a possible short somewhere. I told my friend to clean all the cable connections and buy new battery cable. pls help.....thx,rc3saabs
