boy...where to start.....First, to clear any misconceptions here, you do not have direct injection.
second....Hmmm...yes, you could be flooding. Have you checked the plugs? are they wet? Why do you think it may be flooding? It could be something as easy as the FPR, if you are flooding. There should be NO gas present in the FPR vacuum line. None. Zero. If the fpr diaphragm fails, then you get all kinds of gas in it, as well as flooding, wrong fuel pressure--with all the runnability problemms associated with that.
third. Your compression is cr*p--anything more than 10-20% difference between the cylinders is not good. This could be the result of excess fueling though, so it may just be temporary. <excess fuel washes the cylinder walls, resulting in low compression, and cylinder wear...>
fourth....up to four, already?...it won't crank when it is hot? are you sure you mean 'crank'? you turn the key and nothing happens? or it turns over <cranks> but won't fire and run?
fifth.....You aren't measuring pressure<psi> when you check manifold vacuum. Inches of Hg, or Kpa what you'll be looking at.
what else....the vehicle should start and run without the MAF<but poorly>, so disconnect <electrically><with the key OFF>the MAF-- if it still won't start, then it's prolly not the MAF.
The aic valve failing will still allow you to start<usually>. You'll prolly have a hard time starting it <either really high or low idle>, but you'd still be able to start it.
I'd think either the FPR, or a really big vacuum leak.
Good luck--
