I had written some time ago that my mechanic (not the same dorfus with the clutch issue - see below!) had experienced difficulty fitting the 2.5 inch stainless steel turbo-back system I got from John at SaabSavior. He had trouble with three things - the turbo flange connection, the clamps supplied by John, and the alignment in the rear - it knocked against the suspension on left turns. Even after I took it back to him once it did not fit right in the back. Recently John saw one of my posts and wrote to suggest a procedure to correct the alignment - loosen the clamps with rustbuster and use a large pipe wrench to twist the tailpipe until it was centered. I broke the rusty clamps my mechanic had put on in the process of loosening them, but the twist with the pipe wrench worked like a charm, and the clamps supplied by John which I still had also fit great and worked very well. So my conclusion now is the system is very good (still not sure about that turbo flange) and that mechanic is not so good (I am 0 for 2 on Boston area mechanics, it seems). Anyway, I thought it important to tell the rest of you.
