especially if you want original backing plates. To get to the four bolts that hold the backing plate to the spindle, you need to remove the caliper, rotor, press off the hub(which destroys the wheel bearing), then the bolts are accessible.
Since you have to remove the whole axle assembly to do the work, you might as well get new wheel bearings(since they will be destroyed removing the hub), and also get new CV boots and clean and regrease the CV joints.
