The 94 is somewhat harder to work on (some say). My understanding is there is no real difference other then price. It is Very EZ to up the hp in a C900T. 185 would not be a problem. You can get over 200 hp without spending a lot of money. I am building a hot engine for my 89 C900T Conv that I hope to make 250 hp (That is a little more work lol). I went with the 89 for 2 reasons. 1st I got a deal on it. 2nd (and the real reason) 89 was the last year without ABS and Airbags. Also a little simpler electrical system. It might sound nuts not wanting those things but if you are building a hot rod you don’t want ABS or Airbags (never seen a race car with them) also and most important it makes things simpler. But I love my Conv and they are all fun no mater what year you get. Happy Shopping.
