I seem to recall the shock thing is static due to tire friction (questionable Car Talk knowledge).
Be careful with that continuum. For me it's a cycle and doesn't seem to affect other Saab owners. For instance, two weeks ago I washed and waxed the car. Then upon pulling the car into the garage I inexplicably snapped off one of the fog lights. No obstructions, no contact what so ever. It just snapped clean off. This was my quickest continuum levelling yet. Maybe it's just my car karma. Today I added an mp3 cable to my stereo (blau heidelburg) to run my ipod. This simple, cost effective addition is sure to cost me...
Good work on the repairs. I wish I'd learn to fix cars long before I got into Saabs. It's shocking to think of the amount of cash I've been shaded out of.
